Materials
Hook- 1/0 long shank
Thread- White size A
Body- White Seafibers, Pearl Litebright.
Permanent markers, Brown, Red,
Eyes- 3D
Head Cement
Tying Directions
1) Using a 1/0 long shank hook wind size A white thread around a small tuft
of white Seafibers,(about 3/16"DIA) at top of hook bend. Fibers extend
about 2" toward rear.
2) Continue to wind white Seafibers (HI-TY style) tufts on top of shank
towards eye. Seafibers are tied on top of shank and then doubled over and knotted.
Slightly increase diameter of tuft from center towards eye. Add Litebright (pearl)
between every other tuft of Seafibers. When hook eye is reached whip finish
head and use adhesive on head and bottom of hook shank.
3) Using a soft toothbrush comb out fibers on each side to a uniform density.
Then cut shape (oval) of body.
4) Add 3D eye and mark back and gills using permanant pen. Back colors brown
,and gills+ RED.
NOTE: VARIOUS SIZES OF PB FLIES ARE POSSIBLE BY SELECTING DIFFERENT HOOK LENGTHS
AND SIZES.
