Peconic Worm

| How to fish this fly : Cinder worm hatches occur in the spring, usually at night, any time from late May through mid July. The occur most often around creeks and marshes, sometimes the open beach, that empty into LI Sound or Peconic Bay and occasionally along the South Shore. This fly can either be slowly retrieved or drift fished in a current. |

Tying Instructions
| 1 | Tie 2 or 3 pinches of long red marabou to back of the hook near the bend. |
| 2 | Wrap hook shank with medium red chenille from marabou forward about 2/3 the way to the eye. |
| 3 | Then wrap the rest of the hook shank forward with medium black chenille. |
| 4 | Spin small head near hook eye and coat with head cement. |
| 5 | This pattern can also be made with the following color combinations of marabou and chenille (tail to front): Red/Red/Tan, Red/Tan/Black, Red/Tan/Tan, all Red, all Orange, or all Pink. |
