Bonito Candy

The Bonito candy is a variation of Bob Popovics Surf Candy series of epoxy flies.
Tied on a size #4 standard shank hook, makes this a great little fly pattern
for both Bonito and False Albacore. Super size the hook to a #1 or 1/0 and
bass eat them readily.

Materials:
Hook- Mustand 34007, Tiemco 811
Thread-Mono fine
Body-White bucktail
Tail- Grizzly hackle
Flash-Pearl Krystal Flash
Eyes- Silver stick-on
Epoxy- Over body.

Step 1. Cut two hackles about 2 inches in length and tie in at the bend
of the hook.

Step 2. Tie in a few strands of flash so that they lay on both sides of
the tail.

Step 3. Take a small bunch of bucktail and tie in behind the eye of the
hook and spread to circle the hook shank.

Step 4. Tie off and apply first coat of epoxy to the body section of the
fly, do not go in to the tail with glue. Add eyes and let dry.

Step 5. Apply second coat
